Day 2

Our second day in Edessa started with a certain delay and probably a headache for some people since we had a pub-crawl  the previous night. Tiredness and sleepiness were soon replaced by excitement and active participation as we started the activities. Our first session was about presenting some unique and untranslatable words from each country. As this is the topic of our project, every group was very well prepared and eager to share the cultural background of the words.

Let’s listen to some participant’s opinion..

...some evidence of our hard work!!

In the afternoon we played a game called “Mission possible@Edessa”. We had to achieve some tasks which were related to Edessa’s history. For example, to find the most interesting places and take group photos. At the same time we had to inform the locals about the aim of our project, ask them to give us information about traditional dishes, and their preferences to the upcoming European elections.

Here are some photos…

After our mission, each team had to show their work and convince the others to give them their votes. During the voting even little bribes were offered to attract more votes! The Second and Fifth team won the competition!

This photo made one of the teams a winner! The aim was “take a funny photo on a bridge”. Our team saw some huge rock on a bridge and we decided to pretend that the boys we lifting it while girls were standing on top of it. Then there was a dog that came to us and was also in the picture. While we were showing our photo, there was someone who shouted “Hey, why are you raping the dog?” LOL! J

During our dinner, we asked our sex symbol what he thinks about Greek food.

 Here it is!

That night we were so tired that we decided to go back early..  ;-)

  1. The pub crawl really was something else! Though we did end up going on a pub crawl almost every night :P

The presentation of the foreign words was wonderful as well! Lots of fun and informative!
